Dear Ministry Partner,

Greetings in the sweet name of our Saviour Lord JESUS CHRIST!

My name is Rev Gideon Mukhia and I am from Darjeeling (India)

Now, to let you know more about my place Darjeeling, it is situated on the extreme north-eastern part of India surrounded by Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Tibet and China. It has the population of about 2 million which consists of about 50% Hindus, 20% Buddhists, 10% Muslims, 10% Christians and 10% others. It is a mountainous place situated on the elevation of about 2500 metres from sea level. People speak different languages, but the local language is Nepali.

Presently, we have an organization called – “NORTH EASTERN HIMALAYAN CHRISTIAN MISSION” – and under this banner we have about 120 small- small churches at every nook and corner of Darjeeling District that includes the plain areas. Under me there are 6 (Six) area-wise Coordinators who look after these churches.

Well, I would like to know more about your mission and a line of response is highly appreciated.

Thank you and may GOD bless!

Yours sincerely in HIM,

Rev. Gideon Mukhia,
Founder/President,
North Eastern Himalayan Christian Mission,
Kutchery Compound,
Darjeeling - 734 101,
West Bengal (India).

Dear friends. Please pray for our nine-year-old ministry (started in 2001) -- www.tjlit.org (Testifying Jesus’ Love in Truth).
We make free resumes, teach free English weekly, and do free translations/interpretations in 17 languages to any church or organization that asks us to. We also give out 3000 tracts each week, and we get people who are abused, have mental illness and other problems into churches and places where they can receive help, as well as getting kids into free dentists.
We love the Lord, and love the ministry he has blessed us with. We are deeply committed to fighting racism and poverty.
Please send us your prayer requests (Email: reachus@tjlit.org.), and pass our site to friends, missionaries and family, as there are many who are lonely; and, we are thrilled when Christians connect. As the world becomes more hostile towards Christians; it is essential that we connect.
At the moment we are trying to set up a pen pal club so people from all over can write to others and develop friendships.
Nobody should be lonely. If you read this and are lonely, please contact us and we will do our best to get you into a good church wherever you are in the world.
Please also click on and read the Bible verse of the day, and say a prayer for us. Also, please send us words of encouragement.
Is there anyway we can help you? Please contact us – especially if you are lonely. God bless you.

To our American friends: Please read article 51 on our site “Things I love about America.”
PS. Sorry to the person whose guestbook we have just signed. If we have taken up a lot of space and not commented, again, sorry. The fact that we have left a message is proof, in our opinion, that you are good. God bless you. Ian.

It is so wonderful the things God is doing on 2nd Street with the ministry. I visited your church this morning and was glad to learn that DISC has started broadcasting on TV.

It would be great if you can add to the web site the time, day, and TV station call letters (ie: ABCD) so we can watch on our local cable channels. God bless you guys. RonnieT - I love you, friend. Enjoy that vacuum :-)

It was 2003. The best Christmas for my son (his family) and my husband and I. We came to the mission across from City Hall. That was the day.....we walked with Jesus. We brough turkeys and all the trimmings. We saw food multiiply. God has taken us to the Hill Country. We will never forget the Christmas Day. What a blessing it was. pastor k, this is a sample of the daily word that we can email and text message.

DISC WORD IN FAITH EVERYDAY
there is a song we sing at DISC "I am a freind of God" this is my favorite song. I was reading scripture on the way to work Mary found favor with God(paraphase -luke 1:26-37). I said I thought "Why" well because she did the things that caused her to be Gods favorite. with that in mind, Joseph came to mind and Noah (Genisis 6:8).God is no respector of person. When anyone does things that please God they become a favorite. check this out!I found and seen God will go out of His way to show me/us favor. Some may say " God never shows me favor" actually your wrong, you just have to closely examine your day. God may have caused someone to smile at you and may have caused someone to "bless you" verbally or as pastor skelton says"benifits"...daily.
on your email you have a favorites list, you have a favorite food, color, friend, etc because those things please you, same with God.
theme for the day.do things to get Gods favor." May the favor of the Lord rest upon us" Psalm 90:17.
p.s Im probably going to write a part 2 maybe 3 to this. Let me know pastor

Nov 6 2008

during church sevice yesterday Pastor Karen qouted the scripture from Malichi " bring ye all the tithes to the storehouse" (paraphase) The Lord told me " Chris this is an actual storehouse, why? because we store our food here, clothes, equipment, tools etc. In addition to being a church.amen. So for all disciples and church members lets not rob the storehouse by not tithing.amen?

I also enjoyed the story about the multiplication of $20 to $100. and the sevice with Brenda Price was truly annointed. I have to get back to work but I will try to post something daily.

I am glad to hear that you are still working in God's mission to minister to all those who would not hear otherwise. I remember the beginning (1997) on the bus that died returning people. Visiting under I45 in the cold and rain with sandwiches. Oh those days helped me grow in the faith and I thank God for the chance to minister to those people.

I'm so glad you are still striving and hope to stop in for church one day.

Love you much, Pamela
