Leader: Karen Dudley, Sr. Pastor
The Dallas International Street Church (DISC) was founded by Pastor Karen Dudley on December 3, 1997 with a vision of ministering and helping those people who are homeless and living in poverty within the inner city of Dallas.
As a nondenominational, spirit filled church our goal is to reach the community for the Lord Jesus Christ. Over the past eleven years, we have become an established and vital part of the inner city community, providing help and services to hundreds of lives. DISC is housed at 2706 Second Ave. in South Dallas, and is right in the heart of the most notorious crime district and poverty stricken area of Dallas.
Given many local, state and federal systems' chronic failure in adequately serving disadvantaged people, DISC offers hope for creating better spiritual educational/training opportunities through smaller, more personalized settings with greater access and control to address our specific community's particular needs.
DISC primarily serves people with the following profile: Homeless men, women and children who are broken and torn through poverty, drugs, alcohol and mental illness. 100% of our clients are either homeless, hungry, low-income, at-risk, suffering from substance abuse, sexual abuse, family violence or mentally ill. We outreach to the entire person, spiritually, emotionally, physically and educationally.
